Rannoch Moor

Few people forget their feelings on seeing Rannoch Moor for the first time. As the traveller follows the congested A82 north past Bridge of Orchy, he is suddenly presented with an expansive plateau, punctuated with lakes hosting small tree-crowned islands and surrounded by high mountain ranges. This wonderful wilderness is Rannoch Moor.
