Sanna Bay

Sanna Bay is justly reputed to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland. Reached by a narrow road with passing places, the bay surpasses all expectations. With its wide smiles of white sand beaches, its outcrops of rocks, its turquoise water and views north to the islands of Muck, Eigg and Rum, tourists should be drawn to Sanna Bay in their thousands. Perched as it is at the end of an isolated peninsula and situated at the most westerly mainland point of a country that cannot guarantee fine weather, Sanna Bay is in fact a blissfully quiet location. We barely saw another soul all the time we were there.
