Inland East Anglia 1
Thurne Mill, Norfolk
Thurne Mill stands a short, walking distance from the small Norfolk village of Thurne and on the bank of the river of the same name.
Tom Mackie, one of the world's best landscape photographers and a resident of Norfolk, had photographed Thurne Mill from precisely the same vantage point, and yet strangely the mill appeared to have been turned around 180 degrees. It took a little time to realize that this could be explained by the simple fact that the cap of the mill and its sails can be rotated to adapt to any change in the direction of the wind.
Canon EOS 5D and EF 24-105mm lens.
Exposure of 5 seconds at f/22.
