Wastwater, Cumbria

One of the most spectacular features of Wastwater, one of Cumbria's quieter and more isolated lakes, is that of the dramatic scree slopes that descend to the very edge of the lake. Surprisingly, a public footpath runs the length of the slopes and close to the water's edge.
