Godrevy Point

Sea water occupies an almost perfectly circular basin carved into the rocks at Godrevy Point, on the North Cornish coast.

It’s debatable as to whether the dark rock at the point at which the wave breaks is a distraction which would have been avoided either by cropping the image or broadening the perspective to include the rock in its entirety. A crop would have carved away a portion of the rock wedge just beyond the pool (which is precariously close to the edge of frame as it is); and so perhaps an improved composition that included more of the rock would have been better. The breaking wave does at least mitigate by including an additional element of interest at that point.
