Coastal East Anglia 2
West Runton
There are few places on the East Anglia coast which can claim to have rock pools as a feature. Rocks – apart from those imported from Scandinavia to help shore up the sea defences – are few and far between in our part of the world. However, in East Runton, a location a short distance from the charming Norfolk seaside town of Cromer, abundant flints combine with hardened chalk to create pools, as well as other formations which, as with this semi-circular feature, you could be forgiven for believing had been made by man.
