Southwold Harbour, Suffolk

The sun sets over the River Blyth at Southwold Harbour in Suffolk.

Southwold and Walberswick are two of Suffolk's most attractive coastal locations. As neighbours, only the width of the River Blyth separates Southwold Harbour from Walberswick. But if you're hoping to walk from one to the other, be prepared to cover a distant greater than the river's width. The journey entails a walk of approximately one mile along one bank of the river and, after a short jaunt across a footbridge near Squire's Hill, another one mile down the other.
