Godrevy Point

The lighthouse at Godrevy Point is a proud and dignified monument to both Victorian engineering and modern ingenuity. The tower was erected in 1854, and in 1995 the lighthouse was converted to run off solar power. Unfortunately the fog bell was removed in the 1930s, and so now one can only imagine the sound that would have warned mariners of the close proximity of this dangerously rugged coastline on dark and fog-filled nights.
