Sudbury

The sun sets over the picturesque water meadows in Sudbury, Suffolk. Shortly after this image was captured, two men, armed with what looked like an old-fashioned television aerial, arrived and proceeded to clear the river of its lily pads. Their reason for doing so was to stir up the river bed weeds to enable them to hold food in place for the carp. Although we couldn’t help regretting the fact that this would result in the loss of one of the river’s most photogenic features, we were also thankful that we, with our cameras and tripods, arrived before the men had the chance to do their worthy deed!

Canon EOS 5D and EF 17-40mm lens.
