Inland East Anglia 2
Woodbridge, Suffolk
A late evening view of the Tide Mill in Woodbridge, Suffolk.
Woodbridge is a small but historic market town on the banks of the River Deben. During its 1400 years of recorded history it has played host to a number of industries, including weaving and the wool trade, sail-cloth making and ship building.
The Tide Mill is perhaps Woodbridge's best known architectural feature. The current building was constructed in the late 18th century, although records indicate the existence of a tide mill in Woodbridge since the late 12th century.
Canon EOS 5D and EF 24-105mm lens.
1.6 seconds exposure at f/22.
