Godrevy Point

The sun sets on a fine afternoon at Godrevy Point, on Cornwall’s north coast. The light reflects off the turbulent water and the rugged cliff face, while in the distance the well-known lighthouse stands resolute and defiant in its ability to withstand anything which the fearsome Atlantic can throw at it. At the top of the cliff can be seen the clump of thrift which in this image was captured at a somewhat closer range.

Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens.

Exposure of 1/15 second at f/16.
