Cape Cornwall

Cape Cornwall is only one of two capes in the British Isles (the other being Cape Wrath in Scotland). A cape is defined as a place at which bodies of water of different names meet – in the case of Cape Cornwall, the Atlantic and English Channel.

The sky was not perfect on the day of our visit to Cape Cornwall, and the chimney for which the location is best known was covered in scaffolding following a recent lightning strike; but the colours of the sunset, the picturesque boats and, of course, the Brisons (the islands more often photographed from Porth Nanven) were ample compensation.

Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens.
