Mevagissey
Busy fishing harbours can be compositionally challenging. Fishermen are not known for considering the qualities of pictorial composition when they moor their boats at the end of a long night or day! In this case the two larger boats compete with Mevagissey’s picturesque hillside houses for attention on the left side of the frame while, despite the features of the small boat, the sunlit harbour wall and the swirling cloud of a passing storm, there is perhaps too much empty space on the right side of the frame.
