Penmon Lighthouse, Anglesey

Penmon Lighthouse can be found on the north-eastern tip of Anglesey. A toll is paid at Penmon Priory before a short journey on a narrow road brings the visitor to the lighthouse. The island in the distance is named Puffin Island (or Priestholm). While we were taking photographs, two ornithologists examined the terrain with binoculars, in the hope of spotting puffin burrows.
