Whitby Pier, North Yorkshire

Admittedly this view of Whitby Pier in North Yorkshire is something of a cliché. It was easy, on our arrival in the town, to insist that the temptation to make this composition should be resisted at all costs; but with such exceptional light the temptation proved impossible to resist.
