Bossiney Haven, Cornwall

Bossiney Haven is located a short distance up the North Cornish coast from Tintagel. A National Trust property, it is reached by a sometimes hair-raising cliff-edge path that frequently has nothing between it (and therefore its user) and a precipitous drop to the rocks below. Severe gales and hail storms punctuated the day of our visit; and one of the fiercest storms of the day decided to pass over shortly after our arrival at this site. We managed to capture a few shots before escaping from a tidal surge (the tide should have been ebbing at that time); while our struggle up the cliff-edge path was without doubt one of the most alarming experiences of our lives.
