Inland East Anglia 2
Rodbridge, Suffolk
Rodbridge Corner is located a short distance from the historic and picturesque Suffolk town of Long Melford. We had earlier visited the Rodbridge Nature Reserve, a site of flooded gravel pits, which although a pleasure to walk around was not particularly photogenic.
As so often happens on such occasions, it was only later, as we walked along the banks of the River Stour, that the setting sun provided the photographic opportunity we were beginning to lose hope of finding that day.
A short distance away from Rodbridge lies the village of Borley, and the site of the legendary rectory. Said to be the most haunted house in Britain, the rectory was burned to a ruin in 1939 and demolished five years later.
Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens.
Exposure of 2.5 seconds at f/22.
