Bossiney Haven, Cornwall
Bossiney Haven is a sandy cove close to Tintagel on the north coast of Cornwall. According to the Cornwall Beach Guide website, the steep descent to the cove is not suitable for wheelchairs or push chairs. We can vouch for that, and would add that the steep descent, consisting of little more than a narrow groove of a track that frequently passes within inches of a precipitous and unguarded drop, is not suitable for anyone of a nervous disposition. This is particularly the case when – as happened the day this photograph was taken - a sudden and unexpected storm marches in from the Atlantic, bringing with it a rapid tidal surge, horizontal rain and hair-raisingly strong winds.
