Coastal East Anglia 2
Walberswick, Suffolk
This photograph was taken shortly after the prospect of a colourful sunrise faltered with the arrival of a thin layer of cloud that successfully - and unhelpfully - diffused the sun's early morning light. I attempted to make the clear and featureless sky a minor feature in this scene, concentrating instead on the textures and movements of the grass and the appealingly shaped house beyond. In retrospect I feel I should have allowed the house itself - together with the two bicycles leaning against the wall - a more prominent role.
