COASTAL EAST ANGLIA 1

Benacre, Suffolk

This remnant of a tree is one of many pieces of debris littering the beach along this eroding coastline. Benacre itself is an English Nature national nature reserve, the lagoons of which lie on either side of the tiny and vulnerable hamlet of Covehithe. A few yards north from where this image was taken, the road that runs through the centre of Covehithe runs up to the cliff edge; and falls off.

Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens.

10 seconds exposure at f/22.
