Benacre, Suffolk

Benacre is an English Nature national nature reserve located to the North and South of the tiny hamlet of Covehithe. In the distance can be seen Covehithe's church tower.

There are times when the quality of one element of a scene more than compensates for the deficiency of another element of that same scene. In this case, the heavily disturbed sand should have dissuaded me from taking this photograph. However, the exquisite, late afternoon light was simply too much to resist.
