Capella Di Vitaleta

The skies that accompanied us on our two weeks in Tuscany were rarely of the variety normally associated with that part of the world. We had precious few opportunities to moan about relentlessly blue, featureless skies, and rather too many opportunities to curse the cloud cover and frequent falls of rain. In this image the sky may be bland but it does bring into relief the shape of the chapel and its troop of cypress trees as they stand in their isolation in the midst of undulating fields of Tuscan green.

Canon EOS 5D and EF 17-40mm lens.
