North Yorkshire
Scarborough
Between the lights of Scarborough’s lighthouse and its seafront lies this Yorkshire coastal town’s South Bay, its dark waters made motionless by a long exposure of 30 seconds. There is a suggestion of calm and tranquility in this image, and yet no less than a hundred yards from where the photograph was taken a loud and colourful bank holiday evening was already well underway.
Canon EOS 5D and EF 17-40mm lens.
Exposure of 30 seconds at f/22.
