Talamone

Sunlight (not a feature we saw a great deal of during the course of our two weeks in Italy) bathes the cliffs and 14th century castle at Talamone. In the distance Monte Argentario rises up against a cloudless sky. A short distance from where this image was captured stands a row of modest beach huts. Presumably the bathers come here to sit at the water’s edge rather than risk their lives and limbs swimming in Talamone’s turbulent and treacherous seas.
