Poppi

Poppi, one of Tuscany’s many beautiful hilltop towns, overlooks the River Arno in the Casentino Valley. We never actually visited the town itself but saw its photographic potential in the context of the surrounding rich, Tuscan farmland. A long exposure of 25 seconds allows the movement of the blanket of cloud (which seemed to accompany us almost wherever we went in Italy) to be visible as it moves across the distant hills of the Foreste Casentinesi.
