Wheal Prosper

This is the view from Rinsey Head towards the abandoned but nonetheless well-preserved Wheal Prosper engine house, a short distance from the Cornish coastal village of Porthleven.

Tne aim of this composition was to allow the empty bench to dominate the scene and so provide an indication of the scene - the engine house together with sunlight reflecting off the sea - that might have been presented to the viewer had he or she been sitting there on that unusually mild October afternoon.
