Bures Cricket Pavilion

A “Google” of the appropriate keywords would seem to suggest that thatched cricket pavilions are few and far between. Perhaps for most the cost of maintaining thatch in such immaculate condition would be prohibitively high. This would almost certainly be the case for the impressive thatched pavilion that stands in proud isolation in the middle of the recreation ground at Bures, were it not for the generous donations made by the Bures Music Festival, a jazz and blues event held annually to raise funds for local charities.
