Mersea

A line of posts, or polders, extends towards the horizon from the East Mersea coast. The aim with this photograph was to use a sufficiently long exposure to solidify the water and so emphasize the isolation of the posts in the landscape. In the event the exposure was not long enough, as the distinct cloud formations serve to weaken the intended effect.
